just bought a candy white ed30
« on: July 03, 2010, 01:33:00 am »
just moved up a mk!
got a dsg candy white. Its going to take some getting used to driving an auto!
I'm suprised how differnt the acceleration is compared to my mk4, as they're both putting out the same bhp.
Cant decide between revo or bluefin, got revo on my mk4, but feel robbed considering how cheap the deal was at inters compared to local revo dealer!

....Don't drive it as an auto! Pop it into M-mode and think manual and paddle shift exactly when you would in a conventional manual. Use D-mode for traffic queues and 30/40 mph urban cruising. Experiment switching between all modes including S. It's a learning curve but after 1,000 miles or so you'll grow to love it.

Welcome along mate and nice choice   :happy2:
When you say you're suprised how different the acceleration is between the 2, how do you mean. Don't forget the K04 in standard form is quite a progressive power delivery (bit boring really) and does hide the feeling of speed to a certain degree.

As for mapping options, you will find this forum has a heavy bias towards Revo, generall because everyone have been so pleased with it (including a few owners who have tried different software options before switching to Revo). But that doesn't mean that the other software companies don't offer a good product though.
I certainly wouldn't be put off by Revo just because you missed the Inters deal  :surprised: That, imo, would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Revo always have a deal on at Inters and it's just unfortunate you have missed it with the new motor  :sad1: But for the sake a £100 or so, I know what I would do..

Oh and get some pics up quick smartish..  :jumping:

We think that Heavyd has brought the car that Gti_mad had agree'd to buy, but was txted by Kits Candy saying his wife has given his car to to a family member due to an outstanding debt in his family for some building work.
But by the looks of it, has sold it on to someone else without even given Gti_mad the option of entering a higher bid if heavyd gave him a better offer then his asking price which Gti_mad and him had already agree'd.
Pretty low by Kits candy, especially as Dwaine had already taken out a bridging loan to pay him.

Im not even apart of this, but i know how excited dwaine was collecting this car.

At least the seller should have been honest.

This is of course , if this is the same car, so we await the pictures of his new ride, as about 3-4 of us at Gti International looked over it for dwaine to make sure he was buying a straight/good car.

We would love to see these Photo's heavyd!!, im sure you wernt aware of this deal im guessing.
