MFSW - Excuse my ignorance...
« on: July 03, 2010, 01:30:06 pm »
...but can I fit MFSW buttons and cruise control to my 2008 Edition 30 by simply fitting and coding them, without any other wiring looms etc needing to be fitted?  Thanks.  :stupid:

Cruise Control yes.

MFSW depends on what else your car has.

Is yours DSG?

you need the right convenience module, i fitted both to my 07 dsg and just needed to code the CC.

if you dont have dsg your buttons might work but the CC might not....

i Decided to get the CC stalk as they are pretty cheap and just test fit it, if it works excellent if it didnt would just go back on ebay

You will need a new slip ring and steering wheel controller IIRC for fitting a MFSW on a manual ED30.

So if I buy TC's controller - can anyone confirm that the other parts I will need are slip ring 1KO 959 653C, together with buttons 1KO 959 537J (left side) and  1KO 959 538F (right side)?  My car is a manual 2008 Ed30.

Cheers.  Trev.
