Pity, up here there is a guy who does machine polishing tuition his courses are always booked up in advance.
You could try Autoglym & Autosmart they do basic courses and advanced which covers m/polishing and spot repairs.

Give Migloir a ring Jay could help. You wont be able to say you have had a day with a pro detailer but a day with him will make you realize that any fool can call himself a detailer.  :signLOL:

Haha. Unfortunately I don't really entertain any training courses etc for obvious reasons. It's taken me years to develop my arsenal and it's not really something I really want to openly share. I don't want to appear off but you will be met with the same response from most other proper detailers.

There are courses running by the likes of Dave who I know is a great guy and good at detailing. These will give you the basics but it's not as if you attend one of those courses and start charging.

Cheers

Hi Chip,

Jim's been machine polishing for over 22 years now and is happy to share his skills and techniques... he's done a number of tuition days with novices, amateurs, and professionals who have all taken things away from the course.  One thing we do always say is that you won't leave at the end of the day being able to machine polish with the same skill as Jim can, however, you will leave with some sound advice and techniques that you can go on to develop and hone to your own style.

To be honest, if you've been doing it for 20 years and you're AutoGlym certificated, it may be that you're already doing it right, and if that's the case, at least you can end the day knowing that you can call yourself a Detailer!

We're not local to Bolton, but we don't mind travelling or you're more than welcome to come and spend the day here with us.  It would be up to you.

Let us know if you're interested and I'll send you a PM with some more details  :happy2:

All the best

Taryn and Jim

A friend of mine looked into this a while back. He was going to do a 2 or 3 day course with this chap in Goole.
