if there are no faults, bite the bullet and get yourself 4x plugs and 4x coils. (Seat main dealer are the cheapest for some odd reason)

Excellent thanks.  Are these the correct part number and a good price?.... http://www.dbcperformance.com/product_p/07k905715f.htm

Works out £79 for 4 delivered and what plugs would you recommend?

Thanks again

Are you sure about your pricing as the last time I looked, shipping charges to the UK were exorbitant...

Right, just checked for faults with gav and nothing has logged. It is clearly misfiring though and is getting worse each time I drive it. I'm going to order coils and plugs tomorrow, fingers crossed this fixes it. Thanks for everyones input!

Cheers, I was asking for part number to confirm that the above number was infact correct. Ive just seen coil packs coming off cars with 06 as the starting number and not 07

UPDATE!!

Just replaced the 4 coil packs and fingers crossed the car is fixed.  Just had a 15 minute drive and couldn't replicate any hesitancy at any point in the rev range and it now pulls much more freely to the red line.  Also idles much more smoothly.  The last time i took it out and gave it a thrash i was almost head butting the dash!

I'm very pleased and saved a nice amount by ordering from ecs above.  Cost £77 for 4 delivered and took only 4 working days to arrive   Cheapest price I could get from dealers was £33 x 4 = £132

Time to get back to enjoying the car
