Hi All

Just finished fitting TC's old steering wheel.
Not a easy with VAGCOM as I expected, but it all works perfectly now.

Except when turning (more than steering) the new wheel rubs on the steering column cowl.

Any ideas what. Have done wrong?

Cheers

Lee

Wondered what I had done wrong.

VAGCOM was a bitch. Couldn't clear the error codes for About 1 1/2 hrs.
Then it cleared itself. Can't explain it.

The only thing i can think of, is you have a slightly different cowl designed before the paddles. Is it the actual paddles catching.  :happy2:

No that's the weird bit.
More like I haven't put the cowl back on properly.
I have checked a couple of times.

If you push up on the lower cowl it helps. As we are only talking a mm or two.

Btw screws never arrived. What were they for?

:chicken:  It was just one screw and it held the gubbins to the back of the actual paddle.  :happy2:

My steering wheel starting rubbing on the cowl for no reason a while ago.  I just got a trim removal tool and levered it back, hasn't rubbed since!
