Where did you place your ED30 Plaque....?
« on: July 05, 2010, 07:33:02 pm »
Hi all

Just wondered where the favoured position is. I was about to place is as per the instructions, but I am not sure that it looks right as if placed level it looks out of line with the panel join/line below.

I have considered the trim by the gearlever, but not sure!

Cheers!

If I only had one it would have to go in the place VW recommend.

But as I have three one of the extra's has gone on the transmission tunnel just behind the gearstick!  :happy2:

...........if i had an edition 30 mine would be near the gear lever, no point in having it the door shut were no one can see it  :fighting:. Just about every other car maker that brings out a limited/special edition displays the badge in the dash area.Show it with pride.

if you are a purist , and must have it the way VW define, then in the door shut.
otherwise stick it where it looks best to your eye.
I put mine on the ashtray, behind gearlever looks good too though :happy2:

Put it in the proper place IMO, I had spares so one went under the gear lever

Thanks all, I'm tempted to go with the the instructions.

182_blue - do you remember whether you lined the plaque up with the trim join below, or put it level?

Cheers!

Right, I think that has made my mind up then. Here are two pics illustrating the two ways of mounting it on the door card:
