Anyone know where we can buy the Valeo LED rear lights from?

I bought mine from here and they were delivered within a week. Dont be put off that they are from Germany. :happy2:
http://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/tuning-styling-vw-golf-5-v-led-rear-lights-set-candy-red-for-vw-golf-5-v.htm

Are the candy red the same as the GTI's or are they the cherry red. I want the darker ones the same as my R32, ive confused myself which are which

....The Valeo LED tails are exactly the same shade of dark red as the OEM R32 tails. Valeo might even produce the OEM R32 lights - I don't know.

They are a fully approved part by VW and have a VW part number so you could theoretically order them through your VW dealer, though I suspect they'd be much more expensive.

what do you guys think of these

http://cgi.ebay.de/Litec-LED-Ruckleuchten-VW-Golf-5-V-R32-TDI-SDI-Black-/180614859140?pt=Autoteile_Zubeh%C3%B6r&hash=item2a0d7c0984

....They're discussed fairly fully in another thread here. A bit chavvy due to glazing being so dark. Would be better if they matched the OEM dark red glazing instead.

I quite like 'em actually, but they don't look as good as the OEM mk6 LEDs.

....Not a good OEM colour match at all - Those Litecs are smoked. You can see that they're much darker.

Agreed that if they really were an exact match to the Mk6 tails, they'd possibly be on my car! Although I don't much like the standard Mk6 GTI and wouldn't want to be viewed as trying to look like one.

Did we not go through this about the Litecs in another thread??

They do quite a few variations.

These are similar to OEM

....Indeed we did. I was going to suggest that someone used the Search button but then thought they might have felt I was being rude.

If our LED tail mods don't succeed I'll think seriously about selling my Valeo's and getting some of those. However, the Valeo's are far more OEM Plus looking - Well they are OEM Plus! Most of Litec's lights are very very chavvy looking.

If I still have to do the design work it doesn't make a difference whether it's made and assembled by Valeo or some other PCB house...

Well from somebody who has designed and manufactured a number of niche products some of which have sold extensively the problem is when things dont go according to plan, whoevers selling them needs to warranty them for a reasonable length of time. All it takes is for condensation, flickering LCDs, you also need to be able to replace a single one if you get rear ended in three years time.....Do you want these arriving on your doormat in 6 months - Iulian in Romania is probably wishing he never got involved

Its fab that somebody is taking this one, but if its such a good idea then it might be worth taking it to the next step and getting an OEM to get involved with a concession for the first people who are interested.

They'd certainly sell well
