hello,
was hoping for some clarification on a topic that to me is increasingly becoming a grey area...
my car is going into the bodyshop in 2 weeks for ed30 colour coding and was hoping to have the whole thing mopped to improve the paint, take out a small bit of swirling (although its not too bad) and small scratches etc...
since having it booked in ive heard completely different opinions as to whether mopping a black car will actually increase or decrease the swirls in the car. a few people have said that the circular motion of the mop will create swirls and that you should only polish a black car in straight lines (front to back etc) whilst others (inlcuding most people on here) have said that a full mop will actually remove the swirls?

im completely confused, and dont want to have it done if it will actually make my paint worse. help and advice MUCHLY appreciated.
thanks,
