Im starting to wonder if my car is actually a 1.6 and not a 2.0T, my new record is 47.2mpg and 470miles to a tank.

Usually i get around 430 and thats even just on ordinary unleaded.

FYI, the AXX engine was the last of the 'true' lean burn engines so I read.

You will find this in the majority 2005 cars, then the engine code changed.

That figures; I've got an 05 car and on a A road or Motorway run getting over 40 mpg is easy for me, even driving at an indicated 70+
