Davy,
I was both surprised and disappointed to read your post expressing your dissatisfaction with Milltek.
I do not work for Milltek nor have any vested interest but it's not a secret that I enjoy a close relationship with them and highly rate their products and working ethos, and so I decided to look into your case. My main intention being to establish if Milltek were being judged unfairly or not and to discover an unbiassed truth. I know for certain that if Milltek were at fault they would want to know and do what they could to improve their services.
There are two sides to every story and it does seem to me that perhaps it's your dealer who should take most of the blame, although I am sure there were no bad intentions on his behalf.
- You ordered your exhaust from a dealer and not from Milltek direct.
- Your dealer was informed when the order was placed that Milltek were out of stock of one of the parts.
- Milltek were not informed that your installation had been booked for any particular date and so could not be fairly expected to meet a date unknown to themselves.
So, in fairness, I really don't believe that Milltek are at fault to the extent which your post suggests. I do understand your frustration with the results though.
It appears that, until you posted this thread, your dealer was not aware of your dissatisfaction and so can hardly have been expected to offer any 'gestures'.
Milltek exhausts are without doubt excellent and I think they are probably the only ones which achieve that balance of not sounding boy-racer at low revs but screaming like a good 'un when being driven enthusiastically. But sound is very subjective and we all have different preferences.
At this stage, much of this is now academic but, as I said, there are two sides to every story and I write this in the interests of fairness.
:happy2:

I'm not sure it was the dealers fault that an order sheet was completed and an ED30 exhaust not sent with the dealers order...
I spoke to Milltek before posting who accepted full responsibility and did not point the finger of blame at the dealer who they described as a valued customer.
I'm aware the consequences of posting on a forum is that posts are prone to be checked for facts/accuracy, hence i stated events as they occured with no BS.
I accepted Millteks apology, Im not prone to arguing or seeking compensation, but an offer would have been nice?
I think my reaction at the dealers perhaps heavily hinted at my disatisfaction.

Just been reading the racingline.com blurb about their exhaust it mentions Milltek so is their zorst a milltek or their own creation if so is it a milltek in disguise
Blueflame i will need to have a gander at that.
