iPhone connection options please
« on: January 15, 2012, 09:20:47 pm »
Hi,
I have a golf gt tdi 170 56reg with the standard radio cd "unsure of model".
I would like to play tracks from my iPhone through the stereo, can you advise me on the best options and prices please if possible.
There is an iPod connection in the glovebox and it doesn't work. Vw want £240 to replace it.

What would you go for please????

Cheers

the glove box one is great, when you say it doesnt work does it do anything at all? it could be a case it hase been disconnected from the quadlock on the back of the headunit, gotta be worth taking the headunit out to check mate before spending out on a new one, if it is furbed id look on ebay, they come up from time to time and go for about £40, OEM the only way to go mate :happy2:

How do you take the head unit out? Mine is the same...i have the cable in the glovebox but it doesn't work...i've been told it's either the ipod connector or the cd changer that will work...both won't be able to be used...not sure what to think of that but hey.
