Brake Caliper Colour
« on: January 26, 2009, 03:11:13 pm »
Always wanted to do a poll  :happy2:

Before I paint up the R32 brakes I was thinking I could do them a different colour, the problem it the GTI is known for the red hint so this is the obvious colour - but what about others, yellow maybe?

What do you think...?

Also I hear hammerite it the best paint to use, any comments?  Should I look at paint removed first to remove the blue?

and then paint the clip red ... for that little GTI touch...

I thought about black but not convinced.  These would be running behind BBC CH's

I thought about this  , the covers/clips are £20 each mind you for the S3 one's - not black mind you red, with black clip and red GTI badge

White, if you've got the patience to keep them clean would look metal.
If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.

dunno bout yellow with the black, would have to see it but doesnt appeal. i'd be in favour of red detail but not totally red, main colour (i like the blue but for the sake of the thread...) how about a deep silver or a pearl black. loving the idea of white, total nightmare though
