hmm not sure what to make of that.  reading evo mag this month they have it compared to the impreza cosworth and the perfomance stats weren't  to far off of it, and it was infact a bit better in the in gear segments.

it is just a remapped car though, for a lot of extra cash

Just this min had a go in a UG RS with black rims (boy did it look good) and was pretty impressed to be honest. Seem to lack a bit of top end, but mid range was very strong and boy did it stick to the road (cocked it's rear wheel a couple of times too ).

Couldn't have one as a full time motor though (especially for work). Bit to in your face. But I was still pretty impressed..  :happy2:

good man.  most people who slate them haven't driven them and its badge snobbery.  they arent to everyones taste, but there is no denying they are good.

Here are the acceleration times from the EVO group test for the

speeds     Impreza cosworth/focus RS

0-30      1.8/2.5
0-40      2.6/3.6
0-50      3.5/4.5
0-60      4.6/5.6
0-80      7.0/7.5
0-100  10.7/12.7

in gear 3rd

20-40    4.0/3.1
30-50    2.7/2.3
40-60    2.1/2.2
50-70    2.1/2.4

in 4th gear

20-40   6.9/5.0
30-50   5.5/3.7
40-60   3.9/2.9
50-70   2.8/2.9
70-90   2.9/3.3

in 5th gear

40-60    7.4/4.5
50-70    5.3/3.8
60-80    3.9/3.8
80-100  4.1/4.6

in 6th

40-60     14.5/7.7
50-70       5.3/3.8
60-80     11.0/5.1
70-90       8.1/5.1
80-100     5.9/5.6
100-120   6.5/7.4

stnding 1/4 mile
focus RS500  14.1@106.3mph
impreza cosworth  13.0@110.3

as you can see the impreza gets hammered at the in gear times in low rpm.  exactly the same as my mates WR1 impreza which is dead up until about 3500rpm with turbo lag.

Considering the lap time between the two cars and the 50hp deficit and FWD the focus RS500 is only 1 second slower on the lap

any stage 2 k04 guys have any of their own measured in gear times to compare to these.

@ vRS carl  how does yours compare with these.  i cant remember your in gear times

Going by djhoraces times and owens times they are quite a bit quicker than the revo k1, hurdys acceleration times would be good to see as hes rocking the dsg though.

Shows just good the Ko4 is.. Especially low speed spool up..

I did a 11.1 0-100mph @ Stage 2 and John has done a 9.9 0-100mph with Stage 2+ to compare that test. (Both done on the same Racelogic V-Box that Evo use.. )
