Hey all,
I've had my new candy white 2008 GTI for 2 weeks now.
End of first week, loss of boost and loud whistle like steam from and old kettle so it went into VW for the DV valve to be replaced.
End of this week, stuttering changes in low gears - whole mechatronic needs replacing (luckily parts will be goodwill) and carbon filter needs replacing. And still I love this car!
Just hope this is the last cost for a while (aside from Stage 1 and stuff I want to spend my cash on). On top of that I now live in Singapore so the damn thing costs 3 times what you guys are paying for yours, wish I'd bought one when I lived in the UK!

Leather upholstery with heated seats and electric lumbar adjustment (I will never use the heated seats in Singapore!)
Heated wing mirrors (Not a lot of ice here)
Dual climate control (thank God!)
