my gt tdi ed30 tribute
« on: July 14, 2010, 01:51:56 am »
Well I bought this 1 year ago
Golf GT TDI 140
Winter Pack (heated seats, dual climate control, auto lights and headlight washers)

After liking the GTi since it came out but couldnt afford one but then they came into my price range, without having to sell my mk4 Golf Anniversary.
Now there will be people who say they dont like replicas and usually I agree but the PD diesels mk4 & 5's are powerful engines
proven in mk4 Golf Anniversary they did 900 diesel versions which command strong money today which I believe VW should have also done a GTI diesel mk5 but probably would lose sales on the petrol version... just a personal thought
I didnt go for the GTI, cos if I did there would be no money left for mods I've done to this car like:

Full R32 brakes painted red
Full S3 alloy hubs and wishbones (lighter material than cast)
Full Edition 30 bodykit w/parking sensors
18"Edition 30 Pescara alloys
Edition 30 rear lights
Black headlights
Gti blue tinted windows
RNS 510 w/ video in motion (10 months on and its still my favourite thing on the car!)
Full GTI interior incl, black rooflining( couldn't justify paying 800 pounds for a bit of leather just yet)

At the beginning if winter in Jan 10' I tried some Merc E63 AMG alloys on to see what they looked like whislt refurbing 2 of my Pescaras
didn't rate them enough to keep them on made the car look abit chavish so back to ed30 look

please no nasty comments  :signLOL:

PHASE I CAR LAST SUMMER WITH GTI KIT:

fair enough, its a nice rep, but no need to badge it up as a GTI!

If you need any games consoles or games, accessories, etc etc, PM me for my best price,

The badge police strikes again

Very nice ride, respect for going all the way.

How do you rate the alloy hubs, and are the lower control arms from the S3 or the TT mk2??

Over the top mod list ;o)

Thankyou for your comments

front setup is S3 which comes on Leon K1/Cupra I didnt know they came on TT's too
tbh I have not taken car to a track but i think it has tightened up the handling at the front but there is nothing i can do to the rear i think
18 months ago  I did the same conversion to my Anniversary Golf From Leon Cupra R mk1 which handle a lot better than mk5's
