I know I’m submitting a comment 10 years after this thread started but hey ho!!
I was shopping specifically for a black gti. In my mind a gti should be black. I’ve owned 3 mk2 gtis and all were black. I had one mk2 driver which was red.
I’ve just purchased a Mkv in candy white.
My wife’s mk6 is black.
So I’m now a convert to the light side.
