Project Carbon Wrap - Day 3
« on: July 15, 2010, 01:58:48 pm »
Well as i had a few off cuts of Wrap (and whilst waiting for another roll  ) Lee (Pagey1255) gave me an idea

After a lot of patience & cursing i finally managed to wrap the Foglight surrounds. You have no idea how hard they were to wrap

Any way here is the result

I actually quite like it and looking forwards to getting the new roll and doing the spare Grille surround i have.

now i actually quite like that.  blends in very nice.  i can imagine that being horrendous to do though.  im not a patient man so id never do that myself

when you say grill surround are you talking of the chrome part that you have body coloured.  I dont think that would look good, although the upper ad lower grill slats them selves would look ok i reckon.

Yes the chrome grille surround that is currently Race Blue. I have a spare chrome one so i will carbon wrap that and see what it looks like. If it looks cack i'll put the blue one back on.

im cringing at the thought of that :scared:.  do the black parts carbon fibre, i think that will look the part and not be OTT.  understated is what the vRS is about.

i you carry on you'll turn into brimmaII.

I've been thinking of doing the trim by the gearstick in the centre console in CF - the bit with the hole either side of the knob if you know what I mean, not sure if the Octavia has it mind.
