Ian it's not a matter of whether you can stay or not, you were the one throwing your toys out stating you were leaving.

Everyone is welcome here as long as they are respectfull to other members and follow the rules. And obviously now you drive a Mini there will be no 'my car is better than your car' comments!  :P

Well a bit of an update. We were seriously looking at the new Polo GTI but after driving a Ibiza Cupra with the same engine / gearbox wasn't massively impressed. Hence the looking for summer toy while we waited the min 16 weeks build time  :surprised:

Next I nearly went mad and as Mrs P wanted this Mini: -

Drove better than I expected but I am really not meant to be sat in a Mini looking like a giant

So decided to stick with what we know, and so yesterday a trip to sunny Manchester I collected this: -

But at least this time it has an TFSI engine and the tasty new 7 speed DSG

Needs Bluetooth, Nav (and a bit of Revo fairy dust) and then it will be spot on  :happy2:

Nice Steve  Is it the 1.8 TFSI (180) engine? If so my sister has one in her TT, it's a cracking motor, plent of poke and the fuel economy is as good if not better than the equivalent 170 derv engine! I imagine after a remap it will go like stink!  :scared:

^^^^ Yep it's the 1.8TFSI, and your right the economy was within 1-2mpg of the 170 derv for the same journey yesterday  :happy2:
