Warranty Direct any good ?
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:57:18 pm »
My warranty on my car runs out in November so looked these guys up, they rang me up next day and offered me 12 months warranty for £425, really pushing me to buy, told him i would look nearer the time. Just wondered if anybody has used them and if they are any good especially when making a claim..

2007 GTI DSG, Xenon's, Armrest 6 Disc ,Rear Parking Sensors,Sunroof,Lux Pack,Cruise,Electric drivers seat,MFSW,RNS 510,Miltek Cat Back.

Not used them specifically but seems v expensive !

My advice is join the AA ! even if you dont want to use them and take their mechanical breakdown cover !

£500 a claim and you can make 3 a year !

cost of this £76 per year !!!

Now thats a bargain !

A friend of mine told me and I have joined insuring our 3 cars for £100 per year!!!!!

He has claimed twice and they have been brilliant both times !

£425 thats a lot of wedge.... Suppose it depends on how good the cover is and how likely is a claim? Might be better sticking the money in an account and using the money to pay for repairs if they come up?

Agreed! £425 buys a lot of repairs, warranty companies are very reluctant to pay out when it comes to it and will find loopholes if they can. You will be surprised what is not covered!

Yeah i know what you mean, warranty covers work carried out by main dealers, the AA warranty sounds good im going to have a look at that.

IMO it is worth the small amount of money especially if you have a few cars in the family !

My Nissan Murano, her Golf Gti and my van ! all for £100 ! now thats piece of mind !

just make sure they accept all your service history before you pay them any money and then you will have chilled driving each year !

looking at the policy it covers air compressors !

Gutted I just bought one !
