Im selling a Camcorder (which you can find in the 'For Sale' section), which I also listed on Gumtree - not that Ive ever sold anything through there, buts its free so I thought why not!

Item is listed at £350.

Received this from some scammer a few hours back.....

I was going to ignore it, but thought, what the hell - lets send a money request!

If it feels wrong, it usually is. There's a reason why people don't just buy these things in a normal way, and it isn't usually a good reason. Why the hell can't she buy it normally & then ship it to here husband, who by the sounds of it is either filming the next James Bond film or crawling around the Tora Bora caves looking for bad people....

Change your password and walk away is my advice.

I went to PayPal directly myself and sent an invoice for £500  :signLOL:

You'll get your money into your paypal account

you will send the item off

buyer will issue a chargeback on the credit card used to fund paypal

paypal will remove the money from your account

Exactly my intention. There's no way Im sending the item off. I'll let them pay and keep delaying the person and see how long I can keep the money in my PayPal! lol  :wink:

Once saw a website, whereby people had a bit of fum with these Nigerian Scammers who used to send you "my dead uncle has a shedload of cash in a british bank account" scam email

Trick was to string them along as long as possible!

419Eater got a dude killed  :scared: they persuaded a scammer that they were a dying priest in Somalia with a chest full of cash so scammer sent his son there, the first son died so then he and his second son went and were never heard from again  :scared:
