2.0 TFSI Injectors
« on: January 27, 2009, 09:07:10 pm »
When I was at Inters last year I saw Autotech 2.0 TFSI Injectors( pic below), now i believe you can fit bigger injectors when you go BT but wondered what the ED30 has as standard compared to the S3 & Cupra.
JKM sells OEM Audi S3 ones  and the Autotech version looks to be a modified VAG part.

That was my impression as well.
If you go beyond a K04 then you use RS4 injectors.

Good plan but no tuner over here seems to have readily available software for that upgrade...   :happy2:

To Keith, remember that the US doesn't have the ED30 engine so my guess is those  injectors are meant for guys who upgrade their k03 turbos to the k04 ones.

ED30/S3/Cupra all have the same injectors, which flow 15% more than the standard K03 engine's injectors..

When I had the GT2871R turbo on the S3 I had RS4 injectors. No probs at all..

They are good for supporting up to 500WHP ish.. But after that you need a high flow in tank pump and even bigger injectors..

So could I put the S3 or the Autotech injectors on my normal GTI? And what benefit would I see?

Jonny says above that they flow 15% more than K03 injectors though? So that still equates to no benefit?  :ashamed: :chicken:

Ever wonder why the big tuners don't offer injector upgrades for k03 cars?

The k03 doesn't maximise its present oem injectors so using bigger injectors won't give you any more peformance.
