Or enjoying it to its full potential.

20MPG is a realistic figure on a Stg2+ car if your properly using whats under the bonnet on the roads.

youve only got an 11 Gallon fuel tank. 220miles = simples.

i got 435miles to my tank  :pomppomp: but that was sat at 80mph non stop pretty much

any at the time you were thinkin...."what the hell am i doing driving a GTI like this?" i bought it to give me a grin not put me to sleep!

i was thinking i paid £67 to fill this up and there isnt a chance in hell im stopping on a motorway services to fill up again!

There is a time and a place to drive it like you stole it, on a motorway is one of the most boring places to drive fast!

The light comes on around the 340 mile mark, so I generally fill up a few miles after, just put £62 of Tesco 99 in, about 52 Litres it said.

On a DSG GTI.
Thats mostly just driving to work and back, fairly short journeys (35-40 miles a day round trip)

I get around 310 miles from a full tank until the light comes on.

That's 90% motorway miles, however they are fast motorway miles

Managed 270, enroute to Germany and I spent quite alot of time over 130mph (love the auotbahn!) so pretty happy with that! The Range Rover I had (RIP) used to do 320 on a full tank averaging 70-90mph but that thing used to swallow £140 of vpower in one sitting.
