Which wheels?
« on: July 23, 2010, 11:52:34 am »
Hi all,

I've decided that refurbing my monza 2's is going to be too much of a pain in arse and am on the look out for some new wheels.

Not sure what to go for so wondered if people could suggest anything that would like nice on a steel grey gti and even post some pics of what's on yours?

Thanks in advance

.......any thing in the style of BBS CH or Edition 30 alloys looks great on a mk5 GTI. Got edition 30 alloys on my standard GTI.

Why not get your monzas powder coated??

Choice of colours and no more White worm?

Had mine done for just over £100
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

Cheers guys, was planning just to get them powder coated satin black but was quoted nearly £300.
Based on that, thought it would make more sense just to get another set of wheels but I do like the monza's.

Where did you get yours done for £100?

I would question how good the quality is if only paying £100! Better to spend £200 now rather than additionally later (or sooner).

There are very varying standards of powdercoating.

Ask SteveP. Seen the replacement rims for his Phaeton wheels, just this morning. They looked awesome on his silver mk6
