My sleeper :)
« on: January 17, 2011, 11:25:18 pm »
Here is some pictures of my G40, she's a 1992 with 120k on the clock, it's running 171 bhp with a 13.1 1/4 mile on 195/50/14's, it's had a full engine rebuild by jabbasort a while ago, gas flowed, ported etc (I'm not brilliant with that stuff) has had pretty much every done te her and has been in various magazines, still on the original charger although it is a R1 stage 4 ported charger, I've owned it for around 7 months and recently carried out a 4 day full paint correction detail including chassis sprayed again to keep it clean, I love the car to bits and it flies and I enjoy driving the car all the time even tho it's very hard to drive without abs, power steering etc! Just a good old light VW
It's in concours condition as It did have a full respray in the original alpine White about 3 years ago, I'll soon be selling for around 2k to put towards my edition30!
Enjoy

Sorry about the crap pics! There will be more pics when the weather is better,
Jack

Good work, I've always liked the G40's... must be getting rare now, especially in that condition!

I still miss my old white one, possibly the most fun car iv ever had, if a little dangerous with 170bhp in a chassis designed for 60bhp.

Nice example and extremely rare now in good condition and not driven in to the ground

Aaah that takes me back. I used to have a Windsor Blue G40 back in the mid nineties. I still reckon it's the most fun car I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few.
Yours looks like it has survived the years well.  :happy2: Tastefully done and must be very very quick.
