RNS 510 Install
« on: July 27, 2010, 10:02:05 pm »
Hi Guys

Ive just been reading on another forum that if you have a 6 cd unit like a RCD500 and you want to upgrade to the RNS510 you need to you swap the pins on the RNS-510, see comment below.

- Switch AUX and CD Changer grounds pin positions (Pins 2 and 3 in red) as per http://img233.imageshack.us/my.php?i...mg40412rg2.jpg

Ive not heard of this before, has anyone needed to do this?

i had to do this so i could use my ipod connector cable. Easy when you have the right tools, complete pita when you don't.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

That's only relevant to external 6 CD Changers or iPod connectors like Stealth's
