if your only going stage 1/2 and are not figure chasing then i say bluefin, it still a mighty quick ar with it.
If you plan on going crazy and want the most out of it, you need revo, or try another tuner such as APR Jabbasport or shark performance. iirc all are cheaper than revo. id be highly tempted with a jabba custom map.
Will I be going 'crazy'?.... Hmmm..... Good question........
From what i can gather , Mandy is not planning going all balls out stage 2+at 1st.
Stage 1 or stage 2 is she ever decides to get a milltek, which i keep telling her to get 1st
I've got no immediate plans for a Milltek at the mo, standard one is fine and sounds luurvely IMO....
i have been driving a stage 2 superchips car ie vwr red golf for 3 weeks and the map is complete at utter sh*te i would want my money back even vwr are not happy with the power as its just odd
At least your honest!
What was so bad about it??
Who, me? Are you trying to suggest that I'm a corrupting influence?!?!?
I've got no basis of comparison vs Bluefin, but I've got to say that Revo has completely surpassed my expectations. As an ex A3 diesel driver, I have been so pleased that Revo has given me sooooooo much torque compared with stock - it pull really well from the bottom end, seems a lot looser and responsive, and fits really well with my driving style. You don't need to rev the nuts off the car to make progress very (very!) quickly.
At stage 1, I think it's amazing. Of course, how long the car stays at stage 1 is another question........
^^^ Yes, YOU are the bad influence... (I need to put the blame on someone!)
I suppose I could just try the Bluefin, then switch to Revo if I decided to tinker with anything else on the car.
Would only cost me £200 for Bluefin and significantly more for Revo, unless if any offers pop up from Revo then I could easily be swayed...
Should I be changing/upgrading anything else on the car for stage 1 or will the standard car handle it pretty well? Any recommendations??
