Looks to be an ex fleet/lease car, with 80k + miles no options and no proper VW history, the price is probably right

That does seem cheap......high miles probably explains it. I think that i would want to see it in the flesh, you'd get a better feel for it having been thrashed, I recently viewed an 08 cw with 24k miles but interior wise it looked like 80k....

If you don't mind the high miles it's maybe worth a punt. Personally I wouldn't though as an ex fleet car it will have probably been repeatedly raped.

80k on the motorway is what this car would eat up and not miss a beat. The only problem this car has is it isn't dsg as anything else you want you can add later at you own expense and time.

Autoquakes a great website every details covered and loads of pictures. If that car had been raped you'd be able to spot it. Does the body work, interior and wheels look bad to you?

And I speak from experience, bought my car last year with high miles but loads more toys than this one for similiar money. 27k miles later and not a problem. Yes you need to go see it but from the pics I dont think you'll be dissapointed.

...it will have probably been repeatedly raped.

So nicely put NGCAA!

I think it personally looks dead smart. As long as the previous VWSH is kosher and you're going to service it more regularly than VW recommend, it's worth a look and drive at that cost.

I bought mine with 54k miles on a 2006 reg and I thought that was a bit high at the time (was only just 3 years old), but in hindsight I don't think it is now.

Sorry for the graphic if not colourful language all, nowt wrong with a good high miler I was commenting on "fleet" which could mean sole driver OR any number of drivers being less than kind.

I used to have an avensis, got it from new, I was the only driver and Scottish power serviced it themselves, it never seen a dealer stamp but it was very well looked after and wanted for nothing. This ed 30 could be a good deal for someone, as cool as the web site is though I'd want to see it in the flesh.

I'd buy an ex-fleet car over a privately owned every time as you know 100% that anything that has needed doing has been done, no expense spared.

It will have been serviced when it should have been and any faults found rectified by the leasing company. With the corporate manslaughter laws scrimping on servicing and maintenance on cars is just not worth it these days as someone will be found liable should the worst happen.

Cheap car, and the miles wouldn't worry me.  :happy2:

Yep - buy it

Then straight to a VW specialist for a Full Full Service and cam belt, Straight to the Tyre place for some decent rubber - sell the existing tyres on ebay, directly to the detailers for a full correction, Fit an RNS, Revo Stage 1 and then go find a quiet windy road..

Love to get it at £9k though
