Hi Guys. Say if I'm watching a DVD while waiting for somebody I usually leave the engine running as I'm paranoid the rns will drain the battery fairly rapidly, am I right to think this? I wondered if there was a mechanism if say I just had the ignition on were the rns would turn off if the battery was running low? Thanks for your help.

I currently have battery drain (separate issue) and if i have the rns on without ignition it shuts down and says battery to low for stereo use ! That's annoying for you. You'll have to get a new can bus as I'm sure your aware.

Yep darrens the man, he fit my rns510 and reversing camera on my mk5 running 1100f/w and they work perfectly. No battery drain.
