Body Shop in north east
« on: August 25, 2010, 08:01:18 am »
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in the north east?  Some w***er dropped a paint pot and a set of ladders on my motor and didn't own up they didn't do too much damaged, a dint in the roof and ladder marks on the drivers door.  I'm almost certain I know who it was but didn't see them do it so cannot prove anything.  I'll get some pics up when I can.

While it's in getting sorted I'm going to see if the bodyshop would colour code the side skirts and the rear bumper.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Mainline bodyshop in seaham for me. Have done all my paintwork and repairs in the past, not the cheapest place to go mind. Dont bother with Pulmans bodyshop in Boldon, Took my car back 3 times when it had some warranty work done to it before they actually got it right

Cheers fellas, I'm in between Newcastle and Sunderland.

I've used Paint Magic before next to the Ford Jennings garage.  Work was ok as it was on my missus' focus at the time but not sure if I would trust them with my gti.  I would rather it was left than repaired badly.

I'll look into the ones suggested.

Dont use the car and bike magic on wessington way, They spray the cars with the roller shutters open :stupid:
Had a bumper done there, had a nice collection of dust in the paint when I got it back.
Theres a lad at work who has his garage converted that does spray painting, dents etc. very good. Works at nissan, and thats his job fixing the new cars with dents scratched etc. could get his number for you if you want?
Yes, thats brand new cars with dents and scratches :signLOL:

Do you know roughly how much they would charge for colour coding the front and rear bumpers and the side skirts?

Cheers
