I think I'm long overdue introducing myself having been lurking on this fantastic forum for a few months now.
I'm J.J. and live in sunny Solihull. I've been loving Mk5 GTi ownership since the end of last year when I took the plunge and bought this baby. My only regret is not discovering this forum before I bought the car as I've learnt so much since. Only now do I realise I've got a bit of a poverty spec car but a retro-fitted RNS510 courtesy of mortygttdi has taken the edge off that a bit!
I'm not new to VWs having previously owned an utterly reliable but not very exciting Mk4 1.9 TDi S and prior to that I had a late Mk2 GTi 16v in Oak Green with big bumpers and all that which I owned for 10 years and took me on some great trips round the 'Ring and to the south of France and beyond. I look forward to getting involved and sharing the enjoyment of Mk5 GTi and other VAG car ownership with you. Cheers for now.
