Test drove the 1.4tsi today
« on: August 05, 2010, 04:29:03 pm »
Very impressed! the GTi needs a 7th gear!

there's no lag it just pulls and pulls. I think with a map it would be a very underrated weapon.

I tested it in a fabia VRS, only 2 criticisms about the car, 1 the seat doesn't go low enough so you feel a little high and 2 they don't do a 3door.

But its 3k cheaper OTR than a polo gti (which i will also be testing)

Anyone else driven the fabia or ibiza?

I too love the look of the new Polo GTI but the Ibiza is also a very attractive package too!

Ive got a Fabia VRS for the week and i agree with you on the 2 points you have said the seat just doesn't go down low enough imo it feels like im sitting on the car instead of sitting in it which is really begining to annoy me ill be glad to get back in my GTi. Also the fact that it is not a 3 door is a shame as imo the Fabia would look wicked as a 3 door.

But other than the 2 points above its a wicked little car goes like a rocket :driver: would be a nice little toy with a remap and tbe
