osir mat black front would look good  8)

....Exactly what I was going to suggest! :happy2: (OR carbon to match the rear)

That is one of the nicest looking Mk5 R32's I've seen. BUT....I'm not sure about your planned side valances based on that vid you posted....BUT....Each to their own and she's your lovely motor.

Great choice of wheels - The oem Mk5 .:R wheels look crAp!

totally agreed on the wheels, they were ripped off the car before the protective delivery film even came off

the skirts in the video are a bit ott and would bottom out daily zooming around these cornish lanes, it was merely to show the black stripe....do you think that looks daft then?

uploading some pix to photobucket now of some different front ends. this is one of the main reasons i joined the forums was to peek at the Gti's in candy (in particular MAT ED30's - love the roof mate, how much was that? need more detailed shots of it if you wouldnt mind mate  :happy2:)

there just aren't any other R owners with candy to chat to, she's extremely rare for the UK, so all of my forum dwelling is in the USA these days as thats where it was a standard factory colour option

will post some pic in a bit once theyve uploaded

liking the feedback by the way people, many thanks...i dont bruise so be brutal with your opinions if need be, might stop me adding crap to the car by disillusioned late night ebaying mistakes

I like the whole black stripe on the skirt idea! I thought of this a couple months ago (although not using those particular skirts)! Would go well with my black bonnet and roof.

I like the bottom pic ^^. I think if you do the grille face black then it looks too much like a GT / GTI - which in turn reduces the exclusivity of your car  :happy2:

i was thinking about just sticking some vinyl on there to see what it looked like for a while, it just breaks up the candy with a bit of detail

same idea as this really, just on the skirt not the door:

This is the look I'd go for on any colour of R32. On white it just looks

^^^^
Each one of those cars has something I love and something else I don't like.

It is a very personal choice without any rights or wrongs - Well nearly without any!

I wouldn't change the alloys you've already got - They are superb and not common.

I wouldn't add a side stripe (vinyl) - It's very 'GTI' - Don't forget that as a R32 owner you're slightly more 'grown-up'!

I'd keep the VW badge whether oem or black.

I'd change mirrors to black OR possibly to silver if keeping the silver nose.

I wouldn't add eyelids - They're fashionable in the U S of A but frowned on here.

I don't know if your thinking of Daylight Running Lights but I've got some and they are extremely useful in helping to be seen in ALL lighting conditions but without blinding anyone.

that was nice and detailed  :drinking:

i love the colour, so am always going to be wary about covering or replacing any of it, but will take a closer look at the CF mirrors

eyelids, not a fan of the over versions, but do like the cf under ones

th audi s6 running light craze that seems to be sweeping through the MK5 R crowd isnt my cup of tea...a bit too shouty looking

the badge HAS to stay on the front  :happy2: and theres no way i would change the rims, i luv em  8)
