So we have basically come to the conclusion that the R32 seats are better than nothing, and as said earlier if I had them retrimmed then they would look acererer!?
Looks like my ED30 seats are going then! Anyone interested!?

Two tone grey (same as GTI outer and darker inserts) and very nice indeed, Red Robins were the same seats, ask if he has a piccy?

Be aware that the side bolsters inevitably tend to show a little wear and that the upholstery tends to pull away from the shoulder area of the seat back but can easily be popped back in.. It's just a very minor maintenance job every few months.

....I'm useless at remembering how much I paid for things and sometimes it's cash. The Interlagos cloth came from MJ Interiors up north (good guy who's well established in the VeeDub scene and a local friend down south did my reupholstery (paid about £200 IIRC) - He's a second generation vehicle upholsterer and restorer (currently working on a VW camper and an original 1930's Mille Miglia Riley Elf). Cloth for both Recaro's cost less than £90 - Info's all probably in my Recaro thread?

MJ would be totally capable of supply and upholster and others on the forum could doubtless recommend good guys closer to you.

....No I hate heated seats so it wasn't a consideration.

VCDS for the lack of airbag. You just see a warning airbag symbol on ignition as the systems check and find it's not present. Symbol disappears as the other startup icons do. If the airbag light stays on it means a problem with the other airbags.

Been checking up, just the leather ones, ah well, think I will keep on the lookout for a leather set then, don't want sidebag lights where there should be airbags, and also having heated seat controls with no heated seats.
So if anyone wants the R32 seats, then let me know and I will pass on your details, the guy wants Leather seats and about £400 cash in exchange for his buckets.
