couple of fault code questions....
« on: August 18, 2010, 05:52:18 pm »
Basically, I took the centre air vent out, as I tried to fix the vent that wont close, but is broken so need a new one, but when I tried to fix it,I had to unplug the airbag light switch,  but afterwards I read that you end up with the airbags not working.
Secondly, I put some license plate LED bulbs in, then read that they throw up error codes( the ones I bought werent supposed to) but read the invoice after I fitted them, and it said they might..

I have no airbag warning lights on the dash, and no lights to suggest the bulbs are throwing faults, so does that mean I havent any faults? I only have a hex usb lead so cant check with VCDS
Thanks in advance for any advice or help....

Both faults would show up if they were active, the airbag light will only come on if you turned the ignition on whilst the switch was upluged!!  :happy2:

If no lights are on all is fine.
