Accomodation in Paris
« on: August 17, 2010, 03:43:07 pm »
Guys,

I'm thinking of hitting the motor show in Paris this year (3-17th October I believe) and will need a B&B or reasonably priced hotel close to the Porte de Versailles where I think it's held.

If anyone has rough prices that'd be great. I tried looking at a few google searches but the hotel/B&B sites are all in French and my French language skills aren't good enough to gather all the info, plus I'm searching blind.

Any pointers?

What they said.

When you find a hotel you like the look of, do a quick search in trip advisor to see what people who have stayed there think of it :happy2:

Hotels in Paris, where to start! Some of my favourites:

http://mamashelter.com/ - stayed here last year. Not cheap and functional, but my God it is a nice hotel. Great location too.

http://www.paris-hotel-petitmoulin.com/ - stayed here a number of times. Proper Paris chic!

We recently used www.hotwire.com to book a hotel in Cambridge. First time using it since reading about it in the Sunday Times.

It's an interesting site offering big discounts, you don't know the name of the hotel (but you can use other sites to work out which hotel it is, checking against location & facilities) we paid £80 instead of £156 per night for a 4* hotel.

Thanks all for the tips  :happy2:

Having the review site will be invaluable really otherwise I'm booking blind which doesn't feel comfortable.

^ I'll try the hotwire site too Eccie, cheers.
