New Website, and going away for a week!
« on: August 19, 2010, 08:04:55 pm »
Hi guys, not a detailing write up Per-se, but definately a showcase of my hard work!

Ive been putting together my new website for quite a few weeks now inbetween jobs. Its not fully finished yet, but good enough!

The services section isn't finished yet, and its not in its permanent home, but id appreciate your comments. Some "read more" buttons are also deliberately offline.  Constructive criticism welcome, i dont wanna hear things like "i dont like it" I want to know why! ha ha!

Also, we can now install the Datatag system! Criminals know it's virtually impossible to defeat Datatag with a proven track making a vehicle 4 times less likely to be stolen and 6 times more likely to be recovered when protected with Datatag.

On top of all that, Im taking a week off and getting on a plane tomorrow with the girlfriend!  Only having a week off, Ive got a car in the day i get back! :(

Cant wait to enjoy some Sun and a few drinks by the pool!

Thanks guys!

Nice looking website now that I can see it. I seem to remember this happening previously.

That's excellent, Jay! Really crystal clear and excellent typography and layout. I like the style too.. It's smartly neutral so that potential customers are convinced that your work is broad.

I'm off to have a more detailed look at the other pages.

Btw, good idea having a rolling sequence of header pics.

You've come a long way since the beginning!

.
On the Datatag page:

At the end of the first (F) paragraph you need a para space before the second (A) paragraph. Para space to match elsewhere as between (D) and (F) at foot of the page.

I'll post more if/when I come across them.

Btw, I thought your name was Jay, not John.

Jay youve certainly brought an amazing site together :happy2:

realy nit picking I would note

1. remove the exclamation mark from 'All about Mig detailing', youre a professional business.
What we do on the main page text doesnt sound good , it sounds like you are in two locations and the sentence is long with no punctuation
2. maybe try and add some scripting to round all the images so the edges to match the rounded feel of the rest of the site
3. maybe consider removing the miglior dictionary/theasaurus explanantion from being at the top of each page, its only really needed on the first page
4. consider addin dates to the testimonials page
5. datatag page is just waffle  :signLOL: consider making the pic clickable to a large version as the print isnt very readable as it is
6. it wasnt immediately obvious about your swisswax quals and training, shout it out , how many in country etc

go on my son  :happy2:
