They are the same as side light bulbs, W5W i think.

slightly OT... am I right in thinking the brightness of the footwell bulbs can be varied with the Highline Comp
(or VC I guess)?
Does this affect the bulbs that can be used?

quote havnt seen it on the high line, I have vcds too and not seen of on there either, could have missed it I guess ?

Yes you can increase the brightness in Highline... quite easy to find once you scroll through.

If you can source some passat L.E.D footwell lights they will fit straigh in, plus the have built in resistors  8)

there was a thread on the golfmkv forum a few months back..

he didnt give part numbers but did show the vw/audi box and the are for the passat cc

only mod he did was trim a little bit of plastic around the housing to fit exact in the excisting bulb holder, he reported no porblems and worked straight away

if any of you have been in an audi q7 you will see how bright they are, i must say they are really nice, they dim after awhile and stay on very subtle and cool, dont think they will do this on the golf?

as i said, i did try last year around nov but he said they wasnt availble yet, they should be now..

somebody on here must have the time and funds to look into  :happy2:
