Okay what position did you have the lever in?

There's 0 - off, 1 - auto wipe/intermittent, 2 - normal speed, 3 - double speed

I had mine on auto and they sped up with more rain and faster speed (motorway as opposed to normal 30mph roads).

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

sometimes when i have mine set on rain sensing they keep going even though there is only a few spots of rain and then slow down when its

pouring down! i normally then move the intermittent slider thing on the top of wiper stalk and it seems to sort it out ,although that could just

be coincidence? my brother has same issue on his leon.maybe the rain sensor things are just not perfect (dirt on windscreen.rain not falling on

right part of windscreen? )

If you dont have rainsensor and you have the wipers on full - normal speed and you come to a stop they go to intermittent until you start again.

rain sensors sensitivity is from the thing on the top of the stalk - I did find sometime mind would play up a little, cleaning the screen usually sorted it - even though it looked clean, maybe road grease etc doesnt help it.

VW were pretty reasonably priced, around £35 for a pair.. not bad really.
Buy decent ones, OEM are about the best you can buy..

Depends on the car build date. From November 2005 you need the A980S. Before this you need the A937S.
