Removing the centre console!
« on: August 22, 2010, 04:54:43 pm »
Guys, looking for some help!

I'm trying to remove the centre console so I can fit the heating pipe from the front to the arm rest. I've pretty much taken all the screws out of the console but I just can't work out how to get it out! It just won't fit past the hand brake. Anyone any ideas?

Cheers mate,

I managed to squeeze it past the handbrake. Absolute PITA to remove! All good though now!

Quick question because i know you have fitted the arm rest. Mine is only screwed down by the 2 torx screws at the rear - seems very unsteady.... are there some more screws to go in at the front of the arm rest? I couldnt see them!  :happy2:

Arm rest was already in the car. removed the storage arm rest console (has larger storage area) for one with the CD changer cut out, about to do the R32 next.

I think there are about 5-6 screws holding it down, one in the side by the drivers seat, one near the front and several in the back. If you bear with me, when we take the next one out I'll picture the all the screws removed/refitted. :happy2:
