No... but it was second hand. Had a look but can't see it stuck on the car anywhere (didn't realise I should have one when I got it) - can I get one re-issued?

best thing to do is make sure car is registered to you as the owner, then contact vw to see if your plaque has been issued (they have only just started sending them out), if not find out what your number is and we can possibly get you one done

Hopefully it hasn't been issued yet (car was purchased September 07, and he was the only owner until I bought it in Jan 09 - he traded it for a brand new R32, the Ed30 only had 2200 miles when I got it!) - should I contact the dealer, or go straight to VW?

contact your local VW dealer to make sure they have you as the owner on the system, and also ring the number to see if the plaque has been issued
