RNS MFD2 Nav Upgrade Options!

Hello all,

I'm a new member and have just picked up my 2005 55 Golf GTi today.

One of the reasons I bought this one was that it already had Sat Nav fitted. I loathe aftermarket 'dash mounted' options and although I now see there are loads of decent integrated dual din ones for the Golf, I now have the car and I am wondering what upgrades I can make to the Sat Nav/Audio System/HUD to incorporate the likes of Bluetooth and iPod?

I'm PERFECTLY happy to pay someone for this by the way, and for fitting cruise etc lol... So people should feel free to direct me to sponsors or whatever!

Current system in the car is RNS MFD2 it seems... It has a button for 'Tele' at the bottom, but clearly has no telephone function....

Also, on a slightly different note... Is it generally ok on this forum to discuss the methods in which aforementioned Sat Nav might be 'updated' via the use of a newer DVD...?

The best bet to meet your wish list is the latest RNS-510 Touchscreen nav with the MDI iPod kit and OEM bluetooth.

Cool, is that an easyish upgrade? Would the HUD etc still work?

Is there a man I can pay? It seems there is a name keeps being mentioned... Danny or Darren maybe?
