To strain or not to strain?
« on: August 24, 2010, 02:52:52 pm »
This isn't what it looks like, so don't worry.

I was having a nose around in the engine bay of my newly acquired GTI when I noticed there was no mesh insert (ETKA calls it a Strainer) inside the neck of the washer bottle, yet my old mk4 had one, and my dad's mk6 also has one which leads me to believe it has gone missing. Does yours have one or not?

Matt

I have no strainer on my washer bottle, but car was bought second hand so not sure if it might have gone missing.  Not sure if this will make a difference but I have the larger headlamp washer version.
