i did all my runs before lunch break.

didn't bother after that, queues were wayyyyyyy too long. also got a bit bored and tired so headed home to beat the rush.

what times did u get?

My best time was 14.5362 (95.39 mph) ... reaction time +0.7686

Got to get the reaction time sorted... a bit poor.  I want to get at least a fraction below 14 secs....

What car/spec have you got mate? As Jonny has already said, your reaction time doesn't affect your ET time and 0.7 is about the norm mate to be honest..

i managed to get 4 runs in for my £25!  :angry015:

it would have been alright if it weren't for the 2 breakdowns that cost a good couple of hours of drag time.

I managed to get around 6 runs...one with a black porsche 977 Turbo...  :driver:

Watch this space...will post photos.
We saw the first run for the Porker, but to be honest he didnt get the best of starts but looked cool as hell, I hope his times got better or jonnyc will be wetting his pants! :signLOL: :happy2:

The guy with the Porsche was my younger brother!!! He's also got a pearlescent pink one - for pulling the rich Arab babes.

The reason he was starting off slow was becoz the race marshalls wouldn't let him on the track:

1) because it wasn't a VW - with a bit of gentle persuasion we reminded them that Porsche owns over 30% of VW.

2) He was actually starting the race in second gear... even though he has launch control and the chrono pack.

3) He had restricted his car to a top spead of 110mph...so the marshalls would allow him to race. The car would have easily done over 120 in the quarter mile, but he didn't have a helmet.

I reckon if he let the car loose he would have got 11 secs easily!!!

P.S.  His last run was 0.2 over 12 secs - from second gear.  And that's without him even trying :driver:

P.P.S  I want one...  :embarrassed:

Just a standard GTi with a stage 1 remap, eibach sportline springs, piper cross induction kit.

Mind you I did have a full tank of petrol - which with hindsight would have slowed me down.

Plus, I couldn't get the hand of not getting my wheels to spin in the beginning from 1st into 2nd gear.  Got to learn to hold back from flooring the pedal.

Someone looked at my induction kit and suggested that I change it for a Carbino one cos he thought the pipe might be suffocating my engine...

Here's a question... how much time do you think I could shaved off - if like a muppet  :rolleye: I didn't have a full tank of juice, but say a quarter full one?

Do you reckon I could save a second?

When you say a full tank, do you mean one of these?

Only kidding mate.. To knock a second of your 1/4 mile you would be needing about another 100bhp give or take 10bhp.. With a full tank you may have cost yourself about 0.2 secs (2 1/10ths) tops.. Still a good time mate for a stage 1 (similar to what Joe was getting last month..

If my car did 14seconds in 1/4 mile strip... can some one work out what the 0-60 time is? Any mathematicians...  :indifferent:

If you put up all your details of your best run (1/8 mile time and speed) then I could give you a rough idea, but not poss to give exact..
Your 0-100mph time would be about 16-16.5 secs though..

At a rough guess mate I would say it would be mid to high 6's 0-60.. As going of one of my runs where I had this rigged up..

My 1/8th time and speed was 8.7 @ 88mph..
