My car just came back from Richter Sports - with a nice and new Kufatec Bluetooth Kit installed.

Loving it!    Apart from the trouch screen telephone gubbins...I also get an extra set of digital read outs on my MFD -  oil and water temp, revs, speed, turbo boost, litres of petrol left in tank.

Only issue is that my turbo boost read out shows nothing at the moment.  Looks like I will have to phone Richter just in case I'm doing something silly.

Apart from that the phone kit works a treat!!! 

Which display is the MFD? Is this the display between the speedo/Rev counter? Im not good with the whole audio thing in cars.

im not too sure mate. its never worked. i thought it might be because i didnt have a charged petrol, mines diesel.

Ive also been finding that once in a while it will just disconnect from my car. "no compatable bluetooth phone connected" then a few seconds later it says "phone connected"

then sometimes thru a phonecall, it goes all crackly.

I will be speaking to kufatec about all these issues. Hopefully there will be an update available. If not, they can have it back, for £350 or so, it better bloody work and it better work good! ;)

the crackling is down to poor reception.  I noticed that at times... havent used it long enough to notice if it drops the bluetooth connection.

What software version do you have... I will go and check mine in a bit.

and the crackling well...its more like the person on the phone sounds like they are using some little kids voice changer thing!

and apparently.....tom will tell you....the person on the phone to me gets a squealin sound down the line. i just need to hang up and phone them back

Anyone? I saw a GTi at the festival with the same Recaro seats as mine - but with one really cool difference.

The car had seats inserts of a different colour to the outside leather bits. The arms rest was also colour coded along with the gear cover.

Does anyone know where I can get this done?  Gotta put my mind at peace...

Yes it does give readouts after a day of being stuck at 0. I realized that the down arrow button on the right side of the wheel steps through four different values for boost, and it is now showing a value. Also the up arrow toggles between remaining fuel in liters and battery output voltage, not sure how useful it is to know that the battery outputs 14.7 volts but fun all the same!
No extra connection is needed. The bluetooth unit is connected to the CAN bus and presumably just pulls the information from the engine management, this extra information display is just a nice extra from the phone kit.

he he, i am in new car mode!!! ring first for last time in the postman pat van then new car!!!  m3? r26? one of them i think, Ed 30 would be good but a lot of money still, plus  got to sort chasis and more power before i can beat clio's
