If I was spending £60k on a used car it would be a Aston Martin.  :happy2:

Otherwise for £60k I would be buying a brand new C63 AMG :P

As capable as the GTR is, I could never own one. They just don't do it for me in anyway, everytime I see one on the road I never get the 'have to own one of those' feeling, I think they are fugly as hell! A 997 Turbo on the other hand  :drool: :drool: :drool:

2nd choice to the TTRS for me. Now from 35k used. 46k gets a new one. Im just too young for that yet buttt  :drool: :drool: :drool:

 i agree, all the porsches are ugly and are too common.

Got to disagree with sound Robin.

A flat six turbo sounds nice but compared to the 6.2 V8 in the AMG then the Merc wins hands down everytime for me  :drool: :drool: :drool:

Remember there is no replacement for displacement when it comes to sound imo :happy2:

I agree about the Merc V8 AMG sound, Carl - I should have made it clear I was comparing with the Nissan GTR.  :happy2:

I particularly love that very deep Merc sound.

Yeah gotta agree with that, been for a spirited drive in a C63, the engine is a masterpiece and my god is it tail happy.......but the interior is absolutely awful for a £50k car  :sick: :sick:

Thats sorta beside the point though. If you have the earning power to afford a 120k car you will buy the one your heart desires the most.

If you have the earning power however to buy a 60k car, you might not be able to afford the additional running costs that are closer to that of a 350k car. So in the case of the GTR buying it is one thing, but running it is another. Certainly why I have a deposit on a TTRS and not a GTR.

Plus nissan see the GTR box as a consumable, and we all know those arent cheap. Geabox oil change every 4500 miles, against the porsche 90,000 miles  :stupid:



Imagine the bill for this then..  :scared:
