A welsh plea......
« on: August 25, 2010, 08:48:57 pm »
I'm currency holiday'ing in deepest Wales this week (trecco Bay).
And was wounding if the locals may be able to recommend some places to visit whilst I'm here with the Ed30 to go try out.
Apart from today's weather , which has been a complete washout , it's been lovely drive around these roads with hardly a traffic cue or traffic light in sight!!!. Even Managed 36.2 mpg  down to kilgetty near Tenby. :innocent:I have a fuel efficient car afterall!!!.
Cheers
Steve

It's a four hour drive northwards. Don't think he'd be willing to go all that way.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Trecco bay so I take it your in Portcawl. Theres a good road about 30mins drive from there its called the A4069 its quite short but its really good i go there quite often
http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=brynamman&countryCode=GB#map=51.81816,-3.86461|14|4&bd=useful_information&loc=GB:51.81255:-3.86697:14|brynamman|Brynamman,%20Upper%20Brynamman,%20Ammanford,%20Dyfed,%20Wales,%20SA18%201
But one place i definatley recomend you go is down the Gower preferably to Worms Head again the roads are quite good but the scenery over the sea is awsome Its where i took these and its practically on my doorstep.

The jet you heard at the end of the M4 was probably on its way to the Pembrey bombing ranges. The mach loop is about a 4 hour drive from down here and due to the weather nothing is flying.

There are plenty of hidden roads around this area and again there is plenty of great hidden beaches and coves. If you need anyfurther info drop me a PM.

Cheers Ben for the info, we ended up in Cardiff , shoppers paradise for the women , and decided to treat the family in "Big Daves Cafe" on Barry Island for a real healthy lunch :signLOL:, yes no expense spared and I can highly recommend the belly buster for £4.95. Barry island being best known for Gavin and Stacy.
Coming back, the A48 from Barry to bridge end is fun shall we say   :driver:
