« on: August 30, 2010, 01:13:47 pm »
Hi the to everyone, im in the prosess of selling my 06 impreza sti and looking for a nice ed30, a few questions if someone can answer them. 1 is the DSG the way to go. 2 are they ok and safe to map them as i may do the odd track day, may be 3 a year, 3 are the brakes and suspension upto a track day or would it just be a case of a pad change, many thanks steve. ps great site.

Sorry Ben, I've deleted that thread as it is no longer valid :happy2:

To the OP. I have this one for sale at the moment. Was an ultimate spec version, but it is being stripped down back to more or less stock this week.
DSG is the way to go and with mine you get the added benefit of a Quaife diff and REVO maps already installed. Also I'd leave on the lightweight Team Dynamics Pro race 1.2 alloys and TOYO R1R road legal track tyres and tyre pressure digital monitoring system on too.

Basically stage 2 is tuned to an Edition 30 and stage 1 for the GTI.

Hurdy, I think he means engine re-map stage 1 & 2 not DSG re-map...?

You sure you don't wanna sell the TDs? Would defo be interested in those.

Hurdy,

You sure you don't wanna sell the TDs? Would defo be interested in those.

I'm holding on to them till the car goes. Too good with the TOYO R1R's to put them back to stock until I have to
