Hi guys,will be at the pod with 2 mark 5 golf buddies,one of them is a R32 Turbo MTM,just wondering what sort of times you boys are running,saw one guys profile saying 12.6,thats pretty quick for a front wheel drive,are you boys using a  LSD and what sort of power are you running,my mate is a little worried lol

Well its gonna be my first time at the pod, and up a dragstrip so I have no idea what times I can do. My car is pretty much standard though (stage1)

Blue Mk 5 R32 Turbo 440 BHP 555 NM
Black Mk 5 GTI Revo stage 2 290ish BHP unsure what the torque is
Nogaro Audi S4 MRC Stage 3 503 BHP 630 NM

Out of interest what sort of time do you think my mates black gti should run ,he has only run it a couple of times and has a best of 15.1,I think he could do a lot better,that's why I was thinking you guys might have a LSD.

What times did it run,pretty quick IWT,mrc did a ed 30 with 450 bhp no nitros(i think) it was wrapped in the gulf racing colours nice car,was at gti international this year didn't see it run.

that gti can easily break 14.5, should see a 13.8 with a decent driver. 

not sure what hurdy has run before. he didnt do too well at inters, problems with traction.

Cool that will put a smile on his face,he can drive just needs more practice on the strip,yes I would img traction being just a bit of a prob lol

Will be the first time I have run this s4 at the pod,hoping to join the 11 sec club,the car has a best time of 11.7,but not at santa pod,and I have struggled with other cars there in the past,so will have to wait and see.Trying to get my water/meth injection working before the weekend,should give me another 15-20 ponys which will be helpful

That's right Rob, we'll get there early while you stay in bed awaiting the weather report..   
You travelling down with Rich bud? If so, are you coming down the M1 I take it? Meet at LFE? 

What time you meeting at LFE Ben so i can arrange with Rich a time for setting off, although he doesnt know if hes coming yet.

Even if everything is a go you still may get a txt from Rich saying the tw@ts slept in

Seems quite a high figure for a Stage 2 GTI (not run at JKM then  ) but will be interesting to see how he gets on. Stage 2 GTI's normally run low 14's and I think could do a 13 sec run with a good driver and DSG.
Be interesting to see what terminal speeds your mates R32 runs   With 4WD and 440bhp there's not much chance of any of us lot beating him in a hurry as he'll be gone off the line. But will definately be having a butchers at his terminals  
As for the S4   I'll be making sure i'm not paired off with that at the start line

Yeah he text me today saying he wasn't sure he was going to make it now  I think he's running scared of us DSG boys personally  But hope he does make it..

Oi oi oi.. No stripping aloud, that's the rules.. I was thinking about lobbing the back seats out of mine to help me get into the 12's, but i'd rather do it in toad trim..
