Should I worry
« on: September 01, 2010, 08:11:49 am »
Had my car for 4 days now and I find myself worrying about were I park it.
Sitting there wondering whether it will get dented etc.
Strange feeling I know. Hope this goes after a period of time.

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same!

It's the stalkers you need to watch too - That silver car was following me everywhere:

But, on topic, after 5 years I care just as much as on the first day. It's no stress - It simply becomes habit and if someone else doesn't like it, then tough titty!

Try as you might to get a space away from the madding crowd...the following is an example that seems to happen to me in Asda

So I parked here...as you can see VIRTUALLY EMPTY car park. The van on the left spoils the punchline but it WAS NOT there when I left!

...On return from my shopping. (note that I had parked over the chevrons to give more room in case a plonker came and parked in the bay next to me)...What I hadnt realised is that some tit would come and park in the small space besides me to the right...btw IT is NOT a space..  :stupid:

Should you worry?.....NOT if you take the wifes car on the shopping run!

....It's a bit like the way smoke always follows you no matter where you sit/stand around a bonfire! [I know! I've literally just had a bonfire this morning]. A pity that Myleene Klass didn't appear like a genie from the smoke

Strangely the more care you put into your car seems to have a proportional relationship with the anal way you park.  It drives the missus a little mad especially when its raining.  But as a wise man once said 'tuff titty'  :signLOL:

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

I always park between the two most expensive and newest cars i can find or as far away as possible.

My theory is the owners of the expensive cars will be thinking "i hope that tw@t hasn't dinged my car" and will apply equal care getting into theirs and driving off. Or i park as far away as possible so that no one is near me but inevitably someone else sees it as a good idea and parks next to me.

I might start carrying a couple of "No Parking" cones around with me a put them in the bay either side
