New RNS510 in nav-less '06 car?
« on: October 11, 2010, 11:20:06 am »
Hi,

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if it's possible to retrofit the current RNS510 sat nav into an '06 GTI which currently has a radio/cd/6cd-autochanger?  The car also currently has the longer "bee sting" antenna.

How can I be sure it's not the one that will drain the battery ...

... and who would do the job?

Many thanks.

You can fit the 510. You may well need to upgrade the gateway, it depends on what's already fitted.

As for fitting that kinda depends where you are.
